Australia Day Celebrations 2023

Wangaratta Event

Thursday 26 January - King George V Gardens, 8am-11am

The Rural City of Wangaratta's Australia Day Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals and community groups in our region.

These prestigious awards are one of the highest honours a Council can bestow to publicly acknowledge local heroes, whose dedication and contributions may otherwise go unnoticed.

2023 Award Categories include:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Event/Project of the Year

Come and join us in a day of unity and celebrate individuals and groups in our community that are being recognised on this day.
