Have your say on Draft Vision and Council Plan

Published on 28 April 2021

Community voices have driven the development of the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Draft Vision and Draft Council Plan 2021-25.

Community members are invited to have their say on both documents, which were placed on public exhibition at the April Ordinary Meeting of Council.

It follows an extensive process of deliberative community engagement which saw more than 1000 responses to a community survey, and the formation of the 126 member Shape Wangaratta Panel.

Members of Shape Wangaratta attended both online and in-person facilitated sessions to help develop the documents.

Mayor Dean Rees said the draft vision would guide Council operations and advocacy work for the next 12 years.

“It’s important our community have their say on both the Vision and Council Plan as these are the documents which guide our priorities,” he said.

“Go online and read the documents or come along to one of the many consultation sessions we’ll be holding over the course of the next month.”
