Waste and Recycling Collection

Waste and Recycling Collection

Council provides a weekly garbage and fortnightly recycling collection service to most areas within the municipality.

Maps detailing collection days are available to help you know when your waste and recycling is scheduled for collection.

A quarterly Council Calendar is also delivered to all residents within the municipality detailing, operating hours for transfer stations and garbage and recycling collection days.

If you would like a copy of the maps or calendar please contact Council's Customer Service team on (03) 5722 0888, email council@wangaratta.vic.gov.au or download them below.

What is my bin day?

To find out:

1.    Which day of the week your garbage and recycling is collected, and whether your recycling is collected in 'Week A' or 'Week B', view the maps of the Urban and Rural Recycling and Garbage Routes (see below).

2.    Which week is 'Week A' and which is 'Week B' each month, view the latest Council Calendar.

Putting your bin out

Please place your garbage bin out weekly and your recycle bin out fortnightly.

Bins must be placed out before 6:00am on your collection day - spaced 1 metre apart. Please ensure bins are kept off the road and are brought in as soon as possible.
