Transferring a Premise

Looking at selling or transferring a food or health premises such as a hairdresser, tattooist, cafe or prescribed accommodation?

If so, you will need to contact Council to ensure requirements of the Food Safety Act are met and the Public Health & Wellbeing Act.

You may also need to speak to Council's Building or Planning department to apply for any relevant permits.

Food and health premises are required to undertake an annual assessment by Council's Environmental Health team to ensure the premises complys with current legislation.

In order to transfer a premise the Consent Form must be completed and returned to Council, as well as the relevant Transfer Form from the attachments below.

Before the transfer can take place, an transfer inspection must be undertaken by Council's Environmental Health Officer.
