Section 68A of the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animals Act 1994 requires every local Council in Victoria to prepare and maintain a Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAM plan). The Rural City of Wangaratta adopted its DAM Plan in 2008 with a review of the plan being undertaken in late 2011.
The purpose of the DAM plan is to document existing animal management service levels, standards and methods of dealing with domestic animals within each Council. The DAM plan for the Rural City of Wangaratta achieves the legislative requirements of section 68A of the Act, and documents the service levels currently provided by Council.
You can download a copy of Council’s Domestic Animal Management Plan below. Copies are also available to the public in hard copy at the Wangaratta Government Centre.
