Community Grants Awarded Posted: 21-06-2017

Some $123,910 in Council grants will be shared among 13 community groups.

Rural City of Wangaratta Councillors this week voted to allocate the funding under Council’s Community Grants Program – Major Category.

Mayor Ken Clarke OAM congratulated the successful groups on the funding.

“This year, council received 51 major community grant applications, requesting a total of $451,685,” he said.

“The applications received were of an exceptionally high calibre and as always, the demand for funding through the Community Grants Program far exceeded the funding available through the budget allocation.

“I congratulate the successful groups and look forward to seeing their projects come to fruition.”
