Calling all musicians, jugglers, performers and event vendors

Calling all musicians, jugglers, performers and event vendors Posted: 20-10-2017

With the busy event season almost here, the Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking expressions of interest from event performers and vendors.

Whether you are a solo artist, face painter, choir, community orchestra, rock ensemble or acoustic duo, Council wants to hear from you.

Applicants will be added to the Rural City’s performer database, which aims to include every performer within the surrounding region.

“The North East has such an amazing, diverse array of performers, we want to ensure that local artists and musicians are considered for every event we run,” Council’s Attractions and Events Coordinator James Vincent said.

“We are often approached by commercial and community events for advice on the cream of the performing crop here in Wangaratta and surrounds, and this database will be a great way to start promoting local performers in everything we do.”

Council is also looking for community organisations and businesses who operate food, market, amusement, and beverage vendors at events.

“Similarly to performers, we want to hear from organisations who operate event businesses so we can ensure that we utilise locals before looking further afield,” Mr Vincent said.

Both performer and vendor databases would remain current for two years, but any newcomers are welcome to approach Council at any time to be included.
