NAB Cup Post Game Entertainment Announced

NAB Cup Post Game Entertainment Announced Posted: 25/10/2012

Shannon Noll – Live and Acoustic

WITH tickets still selling at an average of more than 300 per day, the announcement of post-game entertainment planned for the Saturday 2 March event is sure to entice any last minute purchasers to get to the game at the Wangaratta Showgrounds.

Following the Round 2 match between Essendon and Richmond, spectators will be encouraged to stick around to see Shannon Noll – Live and Acoustic, performing on the playing surface, and then an amazing fireworks display to finish off the night.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Rural City of Wangaratta. Not only is the event guaranteed to be a sellout at the current rate of sale, but having Shannon and the fireworks as a grand finale is the icing on the cake,” said Councillor Rozi Parisotto, Mayor of the Rural City of Wangaratta.

“Shannon has visited Wangaratta before, through the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre, and was a huge hit. His presence will add to the atmosphere of the NAB Cup event and give spectators the best possible game day experience.”

“The Wangaratta Sports Development Centre and the entire Showgrounds precinct offer a premier regional sporting venue that is a show piece for the Rural City. This event is the perfect chance to ensure locals and visitors get to enjoy every part of it”.

The post-match entertainment is included in the ticket price, and there are NO GATE SALES AVAILABLE – PRESALE ONLY.

Gates are set to open at 12 noon, giving spectators the chance to grab a prime spot at the Showgrounds and watch the Murray Bushrangers curtain raiser game from 2.00 pm.  The main game is set to commence at 5.10 pm, and the final siren will be followed by Shannon and finishing up with fireworks just before 9pm.

With 10 consecutive top 10 ARIA chart singles, the boy from Condobolin, NSW has recently released his 4th album, A Million Suns, which is full of solid rock songs, deliberately geared towards a storming live show.

As Shannon Noll looks towards a busy year ahead, with tour dates taking him through until July 2013, he commented that he “is thrilled to be part of this event”.

“I’m a country boy, a diehard football fan and a newly converted Richmond supporter, and this is a culmination of all of those – I’m really looking forward to getting to Wangaratta to enjoy it,” said Shannon.
