*The public exhibition period for Our Road Map: Draft Council Plan 2017-21 closed on 16 June 2017. Thank you to those who made submissions. The Draft Council Plan will be considered for adoption at a Special Meeting of Council on Monday 26 June at 6pm**

After extensive community consultation the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Our Road Map: Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 is now on public exhibition.

Over two rounds of consultation Council received almost 600 comments from the community about what they wanted to see in Council’s four year plan.

“The result is a detailed and easy to read 46 page document, built on the five pillars of We Are Sustainable, We Are Inspired, We Are Established, We Are Growing and We Are Thriving,” Mayor Ken Clarke said.

“Under each of the pillars in the plan is a clear explanation of how Council will deliver what the community has told us is important.

“This includes ‘Our non-negotiables’, ‘Our Targets’ and ‘What you will see in 2017/18’.

“The Council Plan sets the strategic direction for Council and informs how funding is allocated through the Annual Budget.

“I encourage everyone who contributed to the first couple of rounds of consultation to read the draft plan and let us know what you think.”

Copies of Our Road Map: Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 are available on Council’s website and at the Wangaratta Government Centre. Submissions can be made up until 5pm on Friday, 16 June 2017.
