Opportunities to meet with Councillors

The community can meet one-on-one with any Councillor during the Councillor consultation sessions held 15 minutes prior to each Ordinary Meeting of Council.  No appointment is necessary.  Public question time during Ordinary Council Meetings gives the public an opportunity to ask questions during the Council Meeting.  Members of the public are invited to meet with Councillors, the Chief Executive Officer and senior management following all Ordinary Council Meetings.  It is endeavoured that all questions will be answered immediately.  Where immediate responses cannot be given and issues need to be investigated, the enquiry will be recorded and a written response will be provided as soon as possible.

Residents, representatives of community groups and businesses have an opportunity to request a Deputation to Council to discuss specific issues and concerns. Deputations are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month. Representatives are asked to submit their request for a deputation in writing to the Chief Executive Officer.
